ATTORNEY PUBLISHES LEGAL THRILLER THAT ASKS TOUGH QUESTIONS ABOUT DEATH ROW
The Villages, FL – October 2012 – The award-winning legal thriller Unintended Consequences from attorney Marti Green is now available in paperback and Kindle e-book editions.
Unintended Consequences introduces attorney Dani Trumball, an appeals writer for the nonprofit group The Help Innocent Prisoners Project. Dani is drawn to the case of an Indiana father who is been sentenced to death for killing his child. He has always claimed his innocence, but never explained what really happened to his missing daughter. After nineteen years, he’s ready to talk. Dani has just six weeks to prove he’s telling the truth and stop his execution.
The author, a corporate attorney, was drawn to the idea of writing about a man who continues to declare his innocence even as he faces death. “Whether or not the public supports or opposes the death penalty,” she says, “It should shock the conscience when an innocent person is executed. With the advent of DNA evidence more or those cases are discovered. But not all crimes are prosecuted based on DNA evidence. One has to wonder in those cases if some innocent man or woman has been wrongly executed.”
Prior to publication, Unintended Consequences won the 2010 Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Award, Thriller/ Suspense and the Do It Write Literary Competition.
Green belongs to the Florida Writers Association, is available for interviews, book club appearances, speaking engagements, and/or guest articles.
